Hi guys,

I've been working on an open-source server implementation that will be
the equivalent of the Small Business server. It is very close to being
ready for the first release, however there are a couple of problems I
need to iron out before I release it.

One of them is that will regularly disconnected clients (i.e laptops) I
need to have them cache some details from the ldap directory. I don't
think that nscd would work - but I may be wrong.

I need a solution that will cache the relevant details solely for
logins. I.e. if I were to login to my laptop, then only my record from
the ldap directory would be cached, until I connected to the directory
again.

If anyone could put forward some kind of solution I'd be most grateful.

Andrew
