An LDAP Addressbook - how?

Hello --

Ever since I got a DSL connection with a permanent IP address, I've been
wanting to use an LDAP server as a centralised addressbook. That way, when
I'm out on the road I can still access my address book from my laptop, via
GPRS.

However, although I've got OpenLDAP up and running, I can't find a GUI-based
tool that will easily allow me to populate an LDAP server with entries.
KAddressbook is read-only, which is no good. Can anyone help?

Many thanks,

Rohan Beckles

http://www.iit.edu/~gawojar/ldap/
any other ldap browser would do as well, but this is my choice, it's java
based so runs on both windows.

I use GQ, which is a GTK-based LDAP tool that isn't "read-only."

wm(X,Y):-write(X),write('@'),write(Y). wm('aa454','freenet.carleton.ca').

I just removed the instructions in MC:COMMON;LINS > which specify that
it should be installed on AI. We'll certainly miss that machine, and
probably spend the rest of our lives fixing programs that mention it.
