Laptop stopped seeing network

My daughter has a Gericom laptop with which she could connect to the
Internet using a wireless link to my 3COM router. A couple of weeks ago
we installed dialup on the laptop as she wouldn't have access to my
router. She is now trying to connect using the router again but the
laptop doesn't see the wireless on the router.

Anyone got any ideas on what might be preventing this?

Assuming you are using windows ,when you set up "Dial up" did you set
the Connection settings in IE to "always dial my default connection".If
so try changing this to "never dial a connection".

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have a look when I can get my hands on
the laptop tonight.
