In order for laptop to use the printer (printer is a direct connect to
desktop on lan) I'm having to input the desktop's numeric IP address -
I see this on the Windows xp printer test page ("printer name
\\xxx.xxx.x.xxx" HP Deskjet 895cse").

Why doesn't the laptop find the share name ("Full Computer Name" under
System properties) of the desktop????
