AT/LANTIC 83c905 ISA card setup info

I have one of them babies but can't find any details on how to use 8390.o and say wd8013.o
(or ne2000.o) to end up with a complete driver.

from linux-2.4.31.tar/drivers/*?*?*/makefile
obj-$(CONFIG_NE2000) += ne.o 8390.o

so couldn't I just use ne2000?
Why do the FAQ say I need to use 2 parts?

If I do need to ldmod how do I then set the IO and IRQ ( which I'll have to guess I think)

oops just realized that line refers to (.o) s not (.c)s
