I have using Me. I travel to a different hotel each week
in which most hotels have high speed internet access in
the form of ADSL.

I use a wireless lan card at home and sometimes on the
road. I also have another lan card adapter. After
several changing of my hotels and networks. I will arrive
at a hotel only to be find that I cannot connect to the
internet.

I have tried uninstalling the lan cards and reinstalling
them but no luck. In the past I have resorted to recovery
disk to fix the problem.

I have borrow a new lan card and it works, but only after
entering the IP address manually. My computer will not
search for or does not come up with the access point if I
leave my settings on automatic. I have used this hotel
before and it has always worked on automatic.

What can I do to reset all lan settings, can I do this? I
was told to take out my battery pad and that would reset
the settings, but that did not work.

The computer seems to be stuck on a old access point.

Please give me some suggestions and help. I can not use
borrowed card much longer and I do not want to buy a new
card everytime I go to a new hotel.

Use the properties sheet of your wireless card and delete the problem access
point.
