LAN Problem: Connecting to Win 2000 workstation

Hi!

I have connected 2 PC's (1 Win ME and 1 Win 2000). The win
me workstation cannot access the shared files in the win
2000 workstation even after entering the correct
password. It always gives an error message, "wrong
password...". I even tried removing the password with the
win 2000 workstation but it still doesn't work. However,
the win 2000 can access the win me workstation.

Please help.

Is it asking for the IPC$ password? If so, Windows 2000 is trying to
validate the user name which wants to access its shared files.
There's no correct response to the IPC$ password prompt.

The solution is to create a user account on the Windows 2000 machine
with the same user name and password that you use to log onto Windows
ME.
