Hi,

is there a program or EXE in windows instalation that I can use to send a
message or alert to a user using his IP in LAN. I do not want to install any
additionall software and I know that in WindowsNT something like this
exested.
I would for example use start/run and typed winmsg 192.168.1.33 "please stop
using web for personal interest" when detecting that user is downloading
movies using P2P?

thanks
MD

May be Bopup Messenger is what you need? it supports IP messaging and
doesn't use the Messenger Service, messages can be also sent from
command line interface. great tool for intranet and lan messaging. can
works both with server and peer-2-peer. the server provides offline
messaging, active directory integration and more. with bopup you are
still able to send/receive messages from built-in software, like
winpopup, messenger service. http://www.blabsoft.com/products/messenger/
