We have a small LAN - wireless.

One of the PC's - a laptop with ME - has been on the
network without any problems at all for a year +.

Couple days ago it ceased all access to the network or
internet connection.

Have re-installed ME, have scanned with virus scanners /
ad-awar etc - all clean.

It will connect for 2 minutes - then nothing. No network
seen, no internet connection YET at times, when I open a
browser, and refresh a page, it will do that - but will
not open a new site / link.

The network settings are fine - all seems to be A OK -
but we just can not get that PC to see the network or to
access the net.

Any ideas / advice will be greatly appreciated !

I'd check the possibility of hardware problems, or interference (microwave
oven, cordless phone, etc) causing the dropout.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the reply.

Have had all the hardware checked out - no problem there.

The laptop has been in same room, same setting & working
perfectly for the last 12 months or more - never had any
problems.

We also switched to ethernet connection - same problem.
i.e tried the wireless & ethernet. Same result.

We genuinely get a connection for 2-3 minutes - then
gone.

Anything else we can do or check ?

Cheers
Cornel
