Have been using a program to show my LAN address, as well as
my WAN address, and has always shown correctly up until last
night.

For the LAN address , it returned 4.0.0.3 (unknown) with the correct
computer name. The WAN info was as it should have been.

If I use WINIPCFG, it returns the 192.168.NNN.xxx as it shows
in the DHCP table of the router.

Used another IP program to see if it resolved the IP address/computer
name for the computer as 4.0.0.3/"computername" ; it did. The program
also allowed one to type in the computer name and get the IP address.
Typing in the computer name resolves to 192.168.NNN.xxx.

So, where is this 4.0.0.3 IP address derived from ??????

thanks
ray

What is this program that you are using? It sounds like it is broken. Have
you removed it and reinstalled it?

Thanks,
