Kppp problems (RH 7.3)

I dial up via a Nokia 6310i to Freeserve, which has been trouble free until
last week. It now dows this:

The pppd daemon died unexpectedly!
exit status: 10


10 The PPP negotiation failed, that is, it didn't
reach the point where at least one network protocol
(e.g. IP) was running.

Nothing has changed in my configuration since it worked, any ideas as to why
it should suddenly b0rk so badly?

Post it on a Linux Newsgroup or a Freeserve Newsgroup, you are more likely
to find a answer there. Maybe Freeserve made some change their end.

Have you tried connecting through a regular (not mobile) modem? You'll
probably find it doesn't work through that either.

Whatever the issue I don't think you will find the answer in this
newsgroup.
