Kernel TCP Errors

[This followup was posted to comp.os.linux.networking and a copy was sent to the cited author.]

I am getting a lot of these error messages in the /var/log/messages. The system is a web
server with a fair amount of traffic. Are there anythings I can tweak that can reduce
these dropped connections??

Jun 27 17:32:44 wxserver5 kernel: TCP: drop open request from 10.177.1.173/1779
Jun 27 17:32:49 wxserver5 kernel: NET: 160 messages suppressed.
