Can someone tell me why my computer keeps connecting to
origin2.microsoft.com:80 ?
I'm using win98 se and MSBND with USB 802.11b adeptor all
from Microsoft.

No, I set it to never update.
I use netstat to list connections every second and the
port # keeps creeping up seems every second or so, there
were new ports opened.

Check for updates is different then check for an Internet connection.

Hi Joker,
Here is the setting I've on the BNU option page, and you can call it update
or check:

Update Internet Connection Status Every [ Never Update ]

[ ] Automatic Check for Software Updates

Then the only thing you can do at this point is contact Microsoft about
the issue.
