Is there a way to keep a Zone Alarm firewall up for internet protection and
still have a functioning LAN? The LAN computers all connect independently
to the web through dialup.

Care to rephrase the question ?

How do you have a wireless LAN all directly connecting to the internet
through dialup ?

A what connects to what outline would be useful !

That depends on how you set up your network.

If there are two physical interfaces... such as the modem and the wireless
interface, ZoneAlarm can tell which one is which one. If there is one
physical interface, you have to differentiate by IP subnet.

There are three PCs on a wireless 802.11b LAN. I do not have broadband
internet access so each PC connects to the internet through a dialup phone
connection that is not part of the wireless LAN. I am worried that when I
have the firewall up it will prevent the wireless LAN from working. Am I
wrong?

ZA can be configured to allow LAN traffic.
