keep loosing

Hey guys

One day I was connected to my wireless router through my laptop.
I was working good but then I messed with the ip address and forced my
laptop to have a certain private ip whenever it connect to my network.

Later I tried to connect to my network but it doesn't work.
It says aquring network address and then disconnects.
To change the ip address back to obtain ip address automatically I
first need to be connected to the network. But I can't because my ip is
messed up. (its like a chain)
please help me

you should not need to be connected to change your ip back to dynamic,
at least in xp home that is
Start
Connect To
Show All Connections
right click on your connection, go to properties, scroll down to tcp/ip
and hit properties again
