my connection signal was diminishing each day. So I un-installed my wireless
utility and drivers, then re-installed. After I re installed the wireless
utility, I now receive very goo connection strength, but then as I attempt to
click on the internet explorer icon, the computer will not connect to the
internet. It takes about 30 seconds then gives me the "cannot find server"
error. What has happened? How was I able to connect before with a weaker
signal, and now the signal is 3x as strong and I cannot connect? Please help.

Hi
The Wireless connection utility might state "Connected" when there is a
Wireless signal reception. However if some thing is wrong with the Network,
or any of the components related to the Network, there is real Network
connection.

My New Wireless does not work - http://www.ezlan.net/wireless.html

Wireless, Basic Configuration - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Config.html

Wireless Security - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Security.html

If Wireless is configured correctly and the I.E does not yield Internet
Connection

General Network Debug.

Step One. Check the Network parameters in the Computer's Device Manager.
Make sure that the drivers are installed correctly; there is No IRQ
conflict, and No Ghost installation, http://www.ezlan.net/faq#ghost

Step Two. Verify Basic network setting in the OS,
http://www.ezlan.net/Installing#verify

If the above two Steps indicates that every thing looks good but
functionally it does not work.

Step Three. Check (and repair if necessary) the Socket Layers, Winsock, and
or refresh the TCP/IP Stack, http://www.ezlan.net/clean#refreshnet
