My son recently switched from Telewest broadband to BT broadband. In
between he bought his KCorp wireless router. he set it up and they
control prog said everything was ok but he couldn't get his BT Voyager
205 modem to connect to the Internet.

Then he noticed that his Telewest modem was still live so he connected
to it. Everything was great, but he still cant get his BT link to
work.

His O/S is XP Pro.

Has anyone any ideas?

I have posted in another group but with no response.

Colin

the BT Voyager 205 is a router. Why not start by seeing if that can
connect on its own with the PC plugged into that. He should be asking
his ISP for help.

uk.telecom.broadband may be better, or bbs.adslguide.org.uk

some information like which lights are flashing or on, has he put
microfilters on all the phone-type devices on the line, what is the
format of the userid he is logging in with, what package does he have
from which ISP etc would all help.

BT ship the Voyager 205 with a diagnostic / support utility and it has
a web interface.

Thank you. My son, Phil, is down in London. I'm up in Manchester.
I'll send it to him.
