I am experiencing the following problem with my two 2003 DHCP servers:
They are DCs and have been recently upgraded to SP1. Sometime around the
upgrade time, they no longer allow me to manage the DHCP scopes from the DHCP
management tool:
When I open a server in the DHCP tool, I get a red X next to the server name
and get the message:
>Cannot find the DHCP Server
>The DHCP server you specified cannot be located. The DHCP server might be >down, there might be network problems, or the DHCP service might not be >installed.
>
>The error was: The parameter is incorrect.
>
>To retry the connection, either press F5, or on the Action menu, click Refresh.
>
>For more information about troubleshooting a DHCP server, see online Help.
The DHCP server still works - it hands out addresses and such. I am
allowed to get to the server options portion and change settings there - just
not the scopes.
This is happening to both 2003 DHCP servers - and it appeared at the same
time.
I mention KB885270 (and KB895246) because they look like the solution, but
they are for XP SP2, not 2003.
Any suggestions?
