Anyone knows why did KB823980 scanner reflect Win9x
machines as vulnerable?
Is it due to the way this tool scan the machines for Open
TCP port 135? If yes, why some machines has TCP port 135
opened as some do not?
How can I know which application need TCP port 135 to run?

THank you.

I posted many messages on this topic in mid- to late August.

Go to Google Advanced Groups Search:

http://www.google.com/advanced_group_search?hl=en

and search on messages "with all of the words": hardis rpcss
