I just moved recently and am having problems trying to get my base station
working again. Everything is hooked up the same way as before and I am using
the same home computer along with same cable modem. I cannot find my owners
manual probably in storage along with the software for my base station.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!!!

Scott, you have to describe what isn't working. You don't need
software for the base station. Post some details on your problem.

Sorry the biggest problem is that I am not very "techy" I am sure. I am not
connecting to the internet. The base station is flashing and seems to be
hooked up properly, I have held the reset button until blue in the face and
still cant get a connection. I am sure that during the move that there is a
new IP address set by the cable provider could that be the issue??? The tech
that installed cable gave up on getting it working after about 20mins. So
here I am routerless.

did you power cycle your broadband/cable modem?
if you've done a hard reset on the 700, open a web browser and go to
192.168.2.1 default password is

admin

that takes you to the built in administrative pages

Even if you do manage to get it working, I'd recommend replacing it.

Why do you recommend replacing?

you are responding to an old thread. the MN700 could not pass
certification for WPA2. it was too slow. it isn't a very good router
by today's standard's and needs for wireless security.

Barb, I wouldn't be so quick to knock the MN700. Of course it didn't pass
WPA2. It was designed and came to market before WPA2 was ratified. The
MN700 doesn't have the speed of the latest hot-rod 802.11i router, however I
get a steady 54 Mbps from it and seems very secure with a 63 character WPA
passphrase.

many other routers from the same era passed WPA2 certification. WPA
can be broken with a dictionary attack, so be sure to use a strong
random passphrase, the longer the better. so far WPA2 has not been
cracked. personally, I prefer to use technology that is known to be
more secure. YMMV.
