Hey, I'm getting psyched up to take this card apart but want to know
if anyone here has added antennas to antenna-less cards and if there
were any general guidelines to adhere to. Such as:
Don't drop kick, twist, bend, shock etc....
ALSO,
Could I add a micro switch to toggle between card antenna and new
micro antenna jack(not spec'd yet)? The mods I have seen online for
other cards have said to desolder the old antenna... I think it should
be switchable.... which should be easy enough.... I just don't want to
fry anything.
If the suggestion I get is to purchase a card with an external jack,
then know that I thought of that, couldn't find one that I could walk
in and buy(which was the immediate need) and ended up paying more than
needed but happy nonetheless.
