Joining Windows N.T 4.0 BDC's to Windows 2003 environment

Hi!
Need some guidance on this scenario:

Presently I have 4 windows N.T 4.0 servers: 1 PDC, 1 Exchange 5.5 and 2
BDC's.

Iam upgrading the PDC and exchange 5.5 server to Windows 2003 server and
Exchange 2003 respectively, infact they will be new servers installed.

I want to make the 2 BDC's work with the windows 2003 server.

So how should I go about dis-joining the BDC's from N.T 4.0 server and
joining as BDC's to the new 2003 server.

I think I need the 2003 as mixed mode(intrim mode) for this to happen.

I searched the web - but they say this can happen thru specific tools which
needed to be purchased.
Can someone guide me on this.

Hi! Many thanks for the link.
my requirement is to join the NT 4.0 DC's (which are actually running as
file servers ) to the new Windows 2003 server.
Can u pass me some info regarding how to dis-join from NT 4.0 and then
rejoin to the W2k3 server. The link u sent has info more on the exchange
front.

Thanks for the advice. I came across this link which says the migration can
be done thru the "NewSID" file of sysinternals.
I tested in a test environment by the guidelines mentioned in the article -
The BDC has the same SID as the PDC,this is obvious as they are on the same
domain. So what I did was I changed the BDC's SID to the new Win2k3 SID and
restarted the BDC.
Then when I tried to add the BDC to the Win2k3 domian from the System
Manager of BDC - I get this error message "could not find the domain
controller for this domain".
All the servers PDC,BDC and Win2k3 are on the same Subnet, and are able to
ping among themselves.
Any idea why the BDC is not able to contact the Win2k3 server?

Urgent reply to my issue would be highly appreciated.
