Join domain across WAN

Hi

Should I be able to have my XP pro PCs join a Windows 2000
server domain across a WAN? The WAN is 1.5 Mbps Frame
Relay, and supposedly has no filtering on it. I have tried
it and it will not work. Is it or should it be possible.

Once the WAN is set up, it should behave just like two segments connected
by a router. Can you ping the domain controller by IP address and by name?

Does your PC have the correct DNS server address and the correct DNS
suffix for the domain configured?

That is using the netbios port. What about DNS?

Do you have DNS set up at both sites? This is the best way to do it.
Have a local DNS server and have all clients configured to use the local
DNS. Then make each DNS server a secondary for the DNS server in the "other"
site. Each DNS server can then resolve addresses for both sites locally.
