Hi,

I'm installing the Optivity NMS 10.1 on my application
server (hp Proliant DL580 G2) running on Windows Server
2003. Beforehand I have to install the Oracle Ver 8.1.7.
Installation of Oracle is OK, but when trying to install
the NMS there a JAVA.exe error when the machine reboot.

Can anyone help me on this?

Kamil

Hi Kamil,

I installed Oracle 8.1.7 on a Proliant ML350 with 2003 Server and didn't have to install anything else but the OS and Oracle 8.1.7 to get this error. It's a problem in the symcjit.dll. I updated 2003 Server. Didn't had any effect. Now I try to replace symcjit.dll with a higher version I found at the java-virtual-machine.net site
Regards,

Marc

Replacing it didn't worked. When you rename the symcjit.dll, at least you're able to load java. This solution only posses problems when one compiles a java application. If you need to do that you can download the newest JDK at sun.

Cos Java virtual machine is no longer shipped with 2003
Server after the court case with Sun. You need to download
Sun's version from http://java.com/en/index.jsp
