I'm using orinoco_cs driver from 2.6.6 kernel and when I try
iwlist eth1 scanning
I get
Interface doesn't support scanning : Operation not supported
error.

I was under impression that scanning is a very basic functionality and
that orinoco driver was supposed to support it. Without scanning, the
driver is nearly useless. What am I missing ?

My own experience is that the card automatically scans frequencies, making
the iwlist scanning operation redundant and possibly bad if a connection
has already been made. I've found that, while observing the cards function
using Kwifimanager, the card automatically scans its available frequencies
and only stops when it connects with something.
