I am planning to build a small router with 3 interfaces, one for the
internet and another one to split the internet connection in to 2
networks. I read on a few websites about itx cases with 2 nics but
has any fitted 3 nics in an itx case and added a flash driver to it ?
thanks

If you are willing to pay, you can buy a quad ethernet PCI card which
gives 4 ethernet connection in a single PCI slot.

Yes, we do. 1 build in and 2 USB. Actually, you can put up to 255
USB NIC on it. We also have a 32M Compact Flash Drive with native
printer driver (IPP) on it. See: http://cfd.linnix.com

I was about to suggest you use a WL-500g router (or similar boxes):
it's pretty cheap and might do the job, but its third network interface is
the wireless one, so it might not be good enough for you.

You could also try something like the net4[58]01 by Soekris (there's
probably other similar boards elsewhere).

thank for all the replyes. very interesting ideas. i have found 1gb
memory cards very cheap, and an ide to pc card adapter for 19$
(computergate). i probably need to find a card with two nics that
works with linux, and a itx box that can fit regular size pci cards.
well this is an interesting project.
