iTunes .... throtteld on Plus?

Are legal music downloads (as opposed to the alleged illegal P2P
variety) throttled on the Plusnet 'Plus' accounts?

I'm 'encouraging' my offspring to be more responsible with how she
acquires her music, but don't want to downgrade a Premier account, from
which she currently gets good speeds, to a Plus account to find it is
unusable.

I suppose iTunes is the most likely candidate for her downloads, but of
course there are many others (which i've yet to find!)

Do yourselves and everyone else a favor and run away
from service providers that have any kind of illegal hidden or
invisible capping policy.
They are run by POTS management that know nothing about
internet or what its used for.

e.g. there are 10,000+ internet radio stations out there
and if you tune in for a few hours, your caps and your
service provider POTS management who don't know maths
are all fucked by the same internet that others are happily
using.

I think it was the P.L.U.S.N.E.T. word that did it.
Nowadays it can have that kinda effect on people

Also, have you noticed how the words 'PlusNet' and 'throttle' used together
can deepen the annoyance of some of their customers, whereas reversing the
order of the words reverses the effect! heh heh!

.... it'll just work, with no slowdown and no quota limits, on Broadband Plus.
My traffic last month was 43 GB. OK, not as much as some download, but much
more than many tens of thousands of users, and that is on a 14.99 account so
pipe down with your attack on anything other than cable services... Peter M.

What's the basis for the rudeness? Why is this a stupid question? RolYat's
shown understanding that shaping is applied to some protocols on the BB+
product and has a legitimate enquiry and has only asked for some help.

Admittedly I use a Premier account like RolYat, but I thought iTunes used
http as the transport for its downloads, which I understand is minimally
shaped on both Plus and Premier to give a higher priority. Plus, as we all
know, has heavy shaping applied for P2P, NNTP etc.

I'm happy to be corrected by a rational poster, especially one who states
they actually have BB+ and uses iTunes, but not some fool with an attitude
problem.

How about finding out if you've given offence before excusing yourself?

Or perhaps you could find another ISP where your fellow customers don't
mind taking flak.

I have bought from iTunes and use a 2mb connection. I get very fast
downloads, a matter of seconds in my experience, so it's one up on the
illegal p2p networks IMO.
