Issues adding and setting up Wireless Printer with MN-700 router

I have an MN wireless router which I originally set up with an ethernet
connection to my XP computer (XP 2002 SP3). Since then, I added a wireless
card to the XP computer and put it on the network, added an iMAC (OS v
10.6.2) to the wireless network and purchased an HP photosmart C4780 wireless
printer.

So my network has my cable modem, connected to the MN-700 Router and then
both the XP and iMAC computers are wirelessly connecting to the wireless
router.

The issue I am having is adding the wireless printer. I have tried to do
that through the iMAC and while this computer sees my network, connects to my
network, the printer set-up process it does not "see" my home network to
configure and connect the wireless printer.

I have tried to do the same from my XP computer which again is connected
wirelessly to my network (via an non-MS wireless card) which successfully
wirelessly connects to the network, has my Broadband Network Utility software
but again, is not able to "see" my wireless network through the printer
configuration set up to confirgure my printer and add to the network.

Can you please help as I am at a loss, outside of agreeing that I need to
buy a new router.

Thanks - Steve

Please describe step by step what you tried and what happened when you
attempted to install the printer using the XP box. Please report all
error messages in full.

Try temporarily disabling encryption on your router before attempting
the printer install. Does this help?
