Issue with Netgear MA111.

I have the following network topology: MR814v2 wireless router, DSL
configuration, laptop using MA111 USB WiFi device, running Win2K SP3.

Formerly, I used the WiFi PC Card, with no issues, but my PC Card slot
went kaput, so now I need to use an alternative (thus, USB). I
installed the MA111 as directed. The tray icon shows red.

I was before using WEP, 128 bit, but I knew the passkey and the SSID.
I entered them into the configuration applet, applied the new
settings, and still got nothing. Rebooted... nothing. When I ping the
router (192.168.0.1, or 0.2), I get nothing. I reset the router,
removed the WEP and passkey from the configuration applet, applied,
rebooted... still, nothing.

The WAP runs fine with CAT-5. The MA111 works fine in ad-hoc mode with
other laptops. So, hardware failure is not the answer to my problem.

Any ideas?
