I changed from wanadoo to tiscali for more bandwidth, wrong move. Anyway I
managed to cancel tiscali cause it was within 14 days of ordering the
service which was a joke I must say. My 512k seemed faster.

I wanted a Broadband ISP that will supply me an unlimited 2MB line for
online gaming and some downloading.

You good peoples opinion would be appreciated.

Thanks, Alan

metronet.co.uk would certainly do that.
'unlimited' still comes with a 'Fair Use Policy' of course. Peter M.

UK ADSL <http://tinyurl.com/5jpa4>... Saving with Plus.Net.
50+ GB of traffic last month, on Broadband Plus at only 14.99.
Unsuitable for heavy downloaders, fine for video/audio streaming.

Last night (sunday) was the worst i've ever seen tiscali .

Not so much slow as treacle - but the thruput actually stopping cold
dead for about a minute - and when it did start again more often than
not you would get a bytes before it would stop again .

Somebody on another newsgroup suggested they recently installed some
managing software and thats what screwed things up .

Alan,

We have just launched a brand new and feature-rich ISP search tool.

It is completely impartial and gives you advanced search, filter, group
capabilities based on contention, speed, price, TCO, user review ratings
etc.

http://www.broadband-help.com/providers/list/advanced/

Hope this helps.

Which is useless as it doesn't list all ISPs. It's not surprising that it is
recomended by a top posting spammer.

Adrian,

Sorry if I upset you there, was only trying to help.

I wonder if, however, you could clarify a couple of points:

- "Top posting spammer" - Are you referring to me? Strange, as I have only
posted in this group today.

- "Doesn't list all ISPs" - There are 115 ISP listed. Which ones did you
particularly note as missing?

Thanks in advance.
