mainly that it needs to be on any time of the day. I won't be downloading
much. Its really for surfing and emails

Thanks

On that basis, I'd happily recommend PlusNet which has an account at
18.99 a month (the full 500 Kbps, and cheaper than BT) called Home
Surf. It restricts one from using peer-to-peer file sharing apps,
and doesn't offer binary newsgroups, but seems OK for your needs. At
some points in the past, people have complained about incoming mail
(same is true for a number of ISPs, even Claranet!) so you might
consider getting your own domain (which could have its own POP
mailboxes for incoming mail), or a free mail only account at some
web-based service such as www.yahoo.co.uk or www.fastmail.fm (so at
some future date, if you change ISP, you can keep your mail address).

I've had PlusNet ADSL for over 12 months. Peter M.

Not on the £18.99 package you won't. nor the £24.99 EasyStart....

It's only the £21.99 Self install and upwards, where the refferals gain
you anything...

If you are not downloading much then http://www.metronet.co.uk/adsl/paygo
might be worth a look. It's a Pay as you go type service and starts at £10.
I haven't used them so can't comment on reliability etc. I'm just waiting on
Plusnet to activate me.

Steven.
