is it hard to put in a DUO type chip, replacing a solo ?

Video card: can this card be upgraded in laptops ?

i'm not talking about older laptops,
but current basic low end models

i'm assuming the RAM and Hard Drive are upgradeable

IMPOSSIBLE to answer that kind of question. You need to specify
exactly what models you intend to upgrade. It might be in the
user manual.

You need to read your manual. IME most laptops are virtually
nonupgradeable, other than memory and even thats expensive and tricky.

Impossible, generally. The CPUs are often soldered to the mobo, and
even if not the case design prohibits heatsink replacement etc.

Forget it. Builtin to hte mobo by and large.

Even more so.

>i'm assuming the RAM and Hard Drive are upgradeable

Assumption: the mother of all cockups. Check out the price of laptop
RAM and then consider whether its cheaper to buy a new machine...
