In other words, I want to have the printer sitting across the room and
be able to print to it from my computer via a wireless connection. Is
there a way to do this? This is not the same as having other computers
print to one printer - I understand that concept, but that's not what
I'm trying to do. I have a new desk set up and there is no room to have
the printer connect to the computer via cable. I'd like to move the
printer 10 feet away and be able to print from it without use of the
USB cable. If there is a way to do this wirelessly, please post.
Thanks!

Yes, You can use a wireless print server.
You have to have a wireless network. You can get print servers with USB
or parallel connectors, depending on how your printer connects.
