I am going to be setting up a ISDN connection soon and was looking for
recommendations on the best way to go about it. I have little
experience with ISDN so any help would be great. Does anyone have a
terminal adapter (modem) that they would recommend with Linux? I am
planning on using Redhat 9.0 or Fedora c1. Also, when the connection is
made what type of interface is created - ppp0? Is there any references
on how to go about setting this up?

Thanks

These are useful:
http://www.linuxfaq.btinternet.co.uk/readme.hisax
http://www.wizdom.org.uk/linux/isdn.shtml
http://rcum.uni-mb.si/~uvp00845b/

I have two of the Fritz internal TA (also sold as BT cards in the UK).
Suse Linux has support for these out of the box, including similar
applications to those that AVM(Fritz) supply for windows. rpms for
Suse are at ftp://ftp.avm.de/cardware/fritzcrd.pci/linux/

If you aren't using suse you may care to look at:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/isdnserver/
