Hi,
I'm going to suscribe to an Orange (France) R&D experimentation whih
aim is to test IPv6 in home-networking. I have some questions,
especially concerning DSL-modems.
My actual network config is as follow:
My network is divided in 4 branches : 3 subnets et 1 WAN access.
- first subnet is my DMZ. Here are the services it provides :
HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, DNS (for WAN), SMTP, POP/POPS, IMAP/IMAPS and some
more...
- Second is my LAN. It provides a DHCP and a DNS (internal)
- third is my Wifi hotspot. it is an open AP with a DHCP service.
At the center of all this stands a computer configured as a reverse
proxy for HTTP & FTP, but also as a router/firewall with following
rules :
- All DMZ services are accessible.
- All outbound LAN connections are authorized, but only what's is
RELATED and ESTABLISHED can "enter".
- Only Web (HTTP/HTTPS), FTP and secured protocols are authorized on
Wifi.
All computers, both servers and clients, are running under Linux with
2.6.15 kernel.
My WAN access will be provided by Orange
I need a "simple" IPv6 compatible Ethernet DSL-modem.
Orange could provide me the Speedtouch 510v6. "v6" is the revision, not
an explicit compatibility mention. I would like to know if it would be
IPv6 compatible. I've found nothing on the datasheet.
If not, do you know any modem that would be IPv6-Compatible ?
Orange do mention some Cisco material. Cisco 827, 877W and 1721.
But they are all combined modems/routers and I don't need all of this.
Best Regards,
Enkahel
