I am using Linux + IPtables as my company firewall.
I found that someone is using Bittorrent to download something.

I've searched the web and can't find any method to block BT.
Is there any method which can block BT successfully?

Find out who is using BT, check if he can do that or not, if he can't,
just report him to HR for the required paperwork (firing/offical reprimand/
whatever).

How do you know its BT?
And if you do know, should you also not have connection
information to hand?

I use IPCop GNU/Linux firewall distro, and I can monitor every connection
source and destination to catch everybody and everything.

Yes, use bittorrentblocker, you can download it at....
Just kidding, bittorrent uses any open ports it can find, so the only way to
block it would be to sniff the packets it uses to connect to a torrent
tracker and just drop them, that way it'll never know where to download
anything from.

Anyone got a quick reference on how to tune your firewall, to, say, drop a
packet that contains the word "torrent" (haha, so that this email wouldnt
get past...

Youd be able to finetune something like that to successfully block anything
specific.

Watch out for sshtorrent then.. ha ha
