IPSec Policy Main Mode and Quick Mode

Hello, can someone explain why during a security association in Mai
Mode there is already and Encryption of AES-128, is this standard and i
yes this eliminates the need of the optional encryption setting in Quic
Mode or it is better if encryption is enabled in both cases ?
