iphlpsvr error message?

Running win98se with an MN-700 base station.

Network is working fine, but several times a day I get an error message that
says:

"iphlpsvr has performed an illegal operation"

If I click the "okay" button twice, the error message goes away and
everything seem to continue working fine.

Any ideas on how to fix this so I don't get this message?
