Hi FOlks,

I have RedHat Linux 8.0 installed on my system (Kernel version 2.4).

I recently installed a network emulator program which uses ipchains.
The program compiled correctly.

However when I run it, I get an error saying "ipchains: protocols not
available", "not compatible with kernel" etc. The program stops right
there.

ipchains is however available on my box, and an 'ipchains' command
asks for parameters, and a 'whereis ipchians' gives the location of
the binary and man files.

Could someone help me fix this error? Does any parameter need to be
changed in one of the the kernel files?

A blow by blow account would help a lot.

Thanks
Durga
