Anyone know of a utility that will scan a range of IP addresses to find IP
addresses that reply. Something other than pinging addresses individually.

Thanks much.

http://www.softperfect.com/
Softperfect Network Scanner

It is a single executable, does not require an installation. You can even
run it from a thumbdrive or a floppy (only 624kb).
Has a very easy, logical, and simple GUI

It can also:
Resolve names
Resolve MAC addresses
Retrieve comments
Check for open ports
Lookup logged on users
Scan for shared resources (folders, comm devices, printers, special, IPC)
Can make use of SNMP

Results can be saved as *.txt, *.xml, *.html, *.csv
