IP phones over vpn tunnel

Hi all,

I have a vpn set up between my office here and a remote office. On
my end I have a wolverine firewall and the remote office has a
netgear firewall. The vpn is fine. But when using an IP phone at
the remote location connected to a phone box here the voice
quality is choppy.

So, does anyone have any experience/advice on speeds/equipment needed
for reasonable ip phone quality?

I'm curious, please: Is the voice sounding "choppy" to users on both ends,
or only at the remote end?

It is choppy on both ends, it works but it's really to broken
up to really use.
