Here is the scenario.
We are tired of entering in proxy information in order to work on our
network. We always forget to remove the proxy when machines leave the
network, causing all sorts of connectivity headaches. So, I setup a
Linux Firewall. . . on one side we setup a simple 172.16.0.0/24 network
and on the other side we setup the outbound NIC with the proxy
information.
However, the problem we have is our little 172 network is working
well....... BUT we still have to enter in the proxy information in
order to browse the Internet and all services.
On the firewall, I setup a IP MASQ but is there something I can add so
all traffic will MASQ the proxy information as well? Seems like it
should be a simple fix, but it isn't. At this point, when a machine
shoots traffic out of our network, it is being NAT'd alright but that
PROXY info is not included in the NAT.
