IP conflicts

On are domain controller we are getting duplicate ip
address. This domain controller has a static ip. Now
becuase of this conflict are network has gone down. the
event id's we get are 4199 and 26. We would really
apreciatie the help

If you are using DCHP for your clients, make sure that your static addresses
are excluded from your scope. If they already are, then someone is manually
configuring that IP on a PC. The event viewer will identify the culprit by
MAC address. Then you'll need to do some detective work work.

change your DC IP (temporarily) to unused IP, then try to "ping -a" to the
old DC IP address, see the name of the computer using your DC IP and change
it to something else. now change back your DC IP address to the original IP
address.
