IP address from old subnet appears when browsing network

Hi,

18 months ago I changed the subnet we use for our main office. All our IP
addresses are static. Now whenever I browse the network domain, one entry
appears from the old subnet showing just the IP address. I can't ping the
address. The address belonged to one of our legacy servers which is still in
use under the new subnet.

Any idea where this entry may be coming from? It does not show up on our DNS
servers.

Thanks,

John

Yes we do. I've checked both WINS servers and both have only the new
(correct) IP address.

Have you checked the WINS record?

Yes. Checked records in both our WINS servers. They both show the correct IP
address and no entry at all for the old IP address..
