I use XP Home and a wireless broadband connection. However, the software will
not install giving a DNS error message that actually means that it won't
allocate an address for broadband. I also have bluetooth installed. I tried
to reset the address through IPconfig, but nothing doing. Any suggestions ? Ta

What wireless hardware are you using?

What error do you get trying to renew your IP address with ipconfig?

What software is giving you this DNS error?

What is the DNS error?

Please do not contact me directly or ask me to contact you directly for
assistance.

If your question is worth asking, it's worth posting.

If it’s not worth posting you should have done a search on
http://www.google.com/ http://www.google.com/grphp?hl=en&tab=wg&q= or
http://news.google.com/froogle?hl=en&tab=nf&ned=us&q= before wasting our
time.

If I sound hostile or arrogant you need to read the following before
posting a question "How To Ask Questions The Smart Way" at
http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html (The site I've linked
to just has this article I think people should read before posting a
technical question.)

Thanks
I use a belink (I think) connector. When changing the IP through ipconfig,
it seems to work and revert to all 0s but the prob is the same (can't install
the software)
I try to install Blueyonder package and that's what gives me the DNS error
message (without further explaination)
Thanks for any help you may provide me with

Well at this point I'd suggest posting in a different newsgroup. This
one only supports the Microsoft Broadband Networking Hardware.

I'd suggest either finding one for you hardware or one like the following.

microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web

When you post a problem like this please post as much information as
possible. This makes it so the person trying to help you doesn't have
to play 20 questions as that can get really annoying.
