Hi all,

For completeness my environment is the following:
Printer: HP PSC 1210
IOGear model #: GPSR01U
Linux Distro: Fedora Core 3
Linux Kernel: 2.6.11-1.14_FC3
CUPs: 1.1.22-0.rc1.8.5
Network: 802.11b using Linksys wifi router

I searched google groups to try to find any reference to using IOGear's
1-USB port network print server (the wifi edition) when printing from a
Linux client, but did not turn up anything that solved my problem.

I have pinged the print server's IP address and successfully brought up
the web console of this print server without any issue and can print to
this server from a Windows client, so the issue is not with the print
server.

I have CUPs installed and I have configured CUPs for various IPP based
print servers at work before without any issues. The issue I have now
is when I try using my home office network print server (the IOGear
wifi one mentioned above) via IPP or LPD. I have used various Device
URIs, such as:
ipp://<IPAddr>/
ipp://<IPAddr>/raw
ipp://<IPAddr>/HPPSC1210
http://<IPAddr>:631/
http://<IPAddr>:631/raw
http://<IPAddr>:631/HPPSC1210
lpd://<IPAddr>/
lpd://<IPAddr>/raw
lpd://<IPAddr>/HPPSC1210

And a few other variations that I do not remember off hand. Where
<IPAddr> is the IP address of my IOGear network print server and
HPPSC1210 is the name of the print I gave it in the web console of the
IOGear print server.

None of these URIs worked at all. CUPs did not even detect any errors.
It said it successfully printed the test page for all the URIs above
and more and the printer did nothing. When looking at the print server
web console it showed that the printer was idle and waiting to receive
print jobs, so it had not even received any of the print jobs from
CUPs. I double checked my IP address, re-pinged the IP address and
revisited the web console many times via the IP address.

Can anyone tell me what the proper Device URI I should be using for my
print server in CUPs? Or is there anything else I should be doing?

Thanks,
SPP
