Intrusion Alerts

I've got a SAR715PVW wireless broadband router with firewall and security
configured. It's connected to BT broadband and a couple of times a day I
get intrusion alerts something like

"Intrusion TCP reset scan(25) -- 217.32.108.165:58206 > 217.42.xxx.xx:4480"

The second IP address is mine, the first one is a BT openworld server. The
origin and destination port are always different. Does this mean BT are
scanning the ports on my router, if so, does anyone know why? Also, what's
"TCP reset scan" mean?

TIA

Andy R
