I want to hook up a PC running Win98 accross the internet
to a VPN router. I need to have VPN SW on the Win98 client
machine. It doen't seem that the OS provides for such a
setup, at least that is what I have been told. Can I use
the "Virtual Private Networking" component that is on the
OS or do I need supplimentary software?

I tried to run the program but got a message
saying, "Setup has detected that you are running a version
of Windows which this package cannot upadate."

Any idea what I need to do? I am running Windows 98 second
edition.

What is the "SW"?
Did you install the MS VPN, you mentioned? Should work.
