I own a wireless router but, they don't have DSL or HI-SPPED here. I connect
by using a modem and the router is for my file transfer. I want to set it up
to use my one computers modem to connect to the internet. Is there a way?

Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) maybe?
Plenty of info on Google.

One computer accesses the Internet using a dial-up modem. Install ICS
(Internet Connection Sharing) on this machine. Now configure the wireless
router as an access point. In other words, disable DHCP in the wireless
router so IP addresses will be assigned only by the ICS computer. Be sure to
give the access point a fixed IP address outside the assignment range of the
ICS computer. For example: The ICS computer is 192.168.0.1, the access point
is 192.168.0.53, and the wireless computer gets a DHCP assignment of
192.168.0.2.. When using a wireless router as an access point, do NOT make
any connections to the uplink port of the wireless router.

I've done this with various Netgear routers. There was an extra trick using
the Netgear WGR614v6 - I had to "use this computer's MAC address".

I don't need help on the matter, so perhaps you might reply to the OP
instead of me as he may miss follow-ups if he has his newsreader set to
only view messages answered directly to his initial post.
