ICS is included only with the Second Edition of Win98 and later OSes.
ICS can be very challenging to set up and even once set up, can maintain a
challenge keeping it's configuration striaght. You see spyware, viruses and
installing other software can quite often 'break' ICS forcing you to start
all over.
If you have a cable modem, I highly recommend you purchase a router. You can
pick one up for $40 or less at any computer store or online. A router will
not only allow you to share you Internet, it will also allow you to share
files and printers as well as act as a firewall for all PCs connected to it
to help keep the bad guys out.
In most cases you just plug it in and no further configuration is
necessary...EVER.
